Fatsia japonica or Aralia

DESCRIPTION

One of the most striking and favourite indoor plants for decorating any room. Very easy to maintain tropical plant, it requires very little care. Adult plants grown outdoors give rise to whitish inflorescences filled with small cream-coloured flowers, from which clusters of black berries emerge. It creates thick, erect stems from which emerge its large, shiny, webbed leaves, composed of seven or nine lobes.

CARE

Temperature: Very sensitive to frost, in cold areas keep in a bright room and away from draughts. In mild climates it can be outdoors, in shade but not total shade.

Light: Tolerates low light exposures, but will always grow more lush and dense in the presence of direct light. The sun can damage its green leaves, so it can be grown outdoors as long as it is grown in the shade.

Watering: Watering should be moderate, without overdoing it, and when we see that new leaves start to appear, we increase the watering by adding growth fertiliser to the irrigation water.

Abono: During the warm months it is advisable to fertilise with mineral or organic fertilisers.

Transplanting: In spring, when the minimum temperature is above 15 °C.

Specimen height: 30-50 cm (total height with pot).

Maximum height: 50-60 cm. Outdoors up to 4 metres.

Pot diameter: Between 15-17 cm.

This plant is sent with the original pot from the nursery, made of recycled plastic material. Decorative pot not included.
